Applied Materials, a California-based Fortune 500 global growth company, is the world's chief provider of products and services to the global semiconductor industry. Through the development efforts of Herrera & Company, the company recently received its forth consecutive training contract for $2.0 million from the ETP. Herrera & Company was the lead administrative manager for the first three contracts which resulted in a 95% performance rate and over $6 million in earned ETP funds. Applied Materials has retained Herrera & Company to administer the forth contract due to the high success rate of the previous three projects and the firms' knowledge, resources, and technological savvy in regards to ETP administration requirements.


Under the current contract Applied has refocused the entire company around satisfying business challenges that, if met, will help the company get closer to customers, strengthen its product performance, and position the company for the eventual up-turn in the high-technology sector. The approved curriculum includes a variety of training types including professional development, management development, continuous improvement, technology, and manufacturing skills. Both on-line and instructor led training methodologies will be offered and Applied will be reimbursed Applied Materials will receive ETP funding for training supplier employees in quality standards.
