AirTouch Communications, which is now part of Verizon, received ETP funding for its entire catalog of courses using a corporate university approach. Employees in the corporate offices received business and professional development skills, employees in branch offices received customer service and sales skills, and back office employees received technical skills. Over 2,000 employees were trained and the corporation earned nearly all of the ETP award. AirTouch was also selected by ETP's audit division for a "random" audit in the year following the close-out of the contract. Due to the excellent administration of the program and facilitation of the audit by Herrera & Company, there were no findings by the State auditors.
