Lam Research was awarded $750,000 in workforce training from the State of California’s Employment Training Panel (ETP).   This ETP application was endorsed by the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) because of the multiplier effect Applied’ s business has on the local economy.  Plus, establishing successful public private partnerships like this will help bolster future CHIPS Act funding applications which Governor Newsom strongly advocates. The support provided by California though ETP will help Applied leverage the experience and capabilities of its employees through learning. The monies will offset direct employee training costs for Applied sponsored course offerings and help expand into new learning delivery methodologies including AR/VR.
